Growth Factors - PDGF
A General Introduction -(Platelet-Derived Growth Factor - BB) As we age or if we have a chronic
illness increasing numbers of cells are in the resting state and have
difficulty entering into an active state capable of repair. PDGF acts on
resting cells to make them competent to enter the cell cycle. Pain in the body
indicates there is a wound which requires cell repair and cell regeneration.
When blood clots as a result of a wound in the vascular system, the surrounding
cells release various substances to facilitate the clotting and regenerative
process. PDGF is one of the small proteins released. This growth factor allows
unspecialized connective tissue cells, called fibroblasts, to divide and
stimulate connective tissue cells and smooth muscle cells to divide at the
wound site in order to repair the damaged area.
Platelets, macrophages, endothelial and smooth muscle cells from an
injured area all secrete PDGF to assist in reparation, which in turn eases the
pain associated with the wound. During wound healing two processes occur;
first, PDGF stimulates the proliferation of fibroblasts and smooth muscle cells
and second, macrophages and fibroblasts within the injured area produce more
extra-cellular matrix material to close the wound. Cells most responsive to
PDGF are skin, vasculature, nervous system, immune system, smooth muscle cells
(which control digestion, breathing and blood flow) and embryonic cells. As
competence and progression factors, PDGF and IGF1, respectively
work together to effectively move cells through the cell cycle.
Homeopathic PDGFBB Homeopathic
PDGFBB is a gentle pain relief medication effective in
alleviating chronic aches and pains. Daily activity causes wear and tear on the
body, which can be quickly repaired by the body's healing mechanisms. As the
body ages, the recovery time gets slower and the body is not repaired as
quickly, causing aches and pains. Homeopathic PDGFBB helps the
body repair this wear and tear from both normal and strenuous activity, in turn
reducing the aches and pains. Anecdotal evidence has also shown homeopathic
PDGFBB to be effective in improving stamina, allowing people to
be "on the go" and in the relief of respiratory conditions. Based on
preliminary clinical tests, homeopathic PDGFBB is hypothesized
to speed wound repair processes in combination with homeopathic IGF1 and
homeopathic TGFb1.
