South Africa Testimonials - True Measures of Success

The treatment group of the South African study was made up of children from a squatter community Finetown, south of Johannesburg. Most of the children attended a community school which is part of the Don Bosco Educational Project. The school was run by a catholic nun named Sister Helen.

A gentle woman, Sister Helen has given her heart to the children of the community, and thus she knows the intimate details of their life, their struggles and their health. For Sister Helen the study has become much more than data gathering. She has experienced first hand the blessing the medicine has become in the lives of these often forgotten children. Here area few of her observations:

Ben: Ben is 12 years old boy. He has been with us since 2001. Both his parents have died of AIDS. When we accepted Ben on the project he was obviously a very ill child. In spite of the fact of taking him to the local clinics, and receiving breakfast and lunch each day plus a food parcel at the weekends, Ben remained very underweight and lacking in energy. When he started on the research treatment he had a very severe ulcer on his foot, and sores on his body, which unfortunately for Ben was common. After two weeks of treatment, the ulcer and the sores had all cleared up and have not returned. Ben has gained weight, his face has really filled out. His physical appearance now is just a reflection of how his whole well being has improved. He has bright eyes and a bright smile. He used to be at the back of the class just sitting there quietly. Now he is so full of energy, his teacher has moved him to the front in order to keep an eye on him. His schoolwork has really improved.

Dibuseng: Dibuseng is a 12 years old girl. Both her parents have also died of AIDS. She was part of the first group of children to join the project. She has been very ill over the years, in and out of Baragwanath (South Africa HIV/AIDS hospital) for treatment. Since she started the homeopathic treatment, she is a different child. Her skin is very clear. This winter she has had no chest infection or cough. Like Ben, her eyes are bright, and she is much more motivated and eager to learn.

Matabello: Matabello is another 12 years old girl. She is looked after by her Granny. In this case, Matebello’s Granny has given us very positive feedback since she started the treatment. For two years this child had no appetite. Diarrhea, coughing, and chest infections had made it very difficult for the granny to look after her. This winter she has not missed one day from school. Her appetite has increased and like the other children her eyes are bright and she is a much happier child.
